Artist Biography Elena Ayllon
Based in Mandrid, Spain
Elena Ayllon lived in Tokyo for seven years and moved to Madrid where she
studied Photography and is currently working for an Art Gallery. She has been
part of several projects related to analog photography. Elena has been published

Artist Statement
The world moves so fast, I use photography to try to stop time. This desire to
keep my daily life present is seen in my work. I am quite aware that the only
constant thing in life is change and I try to capture my everyday moments with film
cameras.
I am currently working on a photo project with the idea of the insignificance of
individuals in this world, especially when surrounded by nature. My attempt is to
blend individuals and nature to make them indistinguishable from one another. I
see it in my photographs, how I tend to make humans small.
